Genshin Impact has entered its final chapter.

Nod-Krai wrapped up in Version 6.7, and Snezhnaya opened right afterward in Version 7.0, which went live on August 12, 2026. The culmination of a six-year journey is now moving at full speed.

It is not just new characters, either: major Elemental Reaction updates, comeback buffs for older characters, a new map explored by railway, and even a new outfit for the Traveler. The amount of information already out is honestly massive.

In this article, we have compiled everything known so far from 6.7 through Snezhnaya 7.3. Version 6.7 and 7.0 are now official, while 7.1 through 7.3 are still leak territory. New characters, new regions, new Elemental Reactions, buffs for older characters, story developments, and more are organized by category.

If you want to prepare Genesis Crystals for Snezhnaya, you can get up to 30% off with a Genshin Impact top-up on GamsGo.

📝 About this article: Version 6.7 and 7.0 information is now sourced from official preview programs, drip marketing, and HoYoverse announcements. Version 7.1 through 7.3 content is based on cross-checking beta client datamines and Telegram and Reddit posts from overseas leakers.

Version 7.0 "No Mercy From the Everwinter" launched on August 12, 2026, with Odette, Alyosha, the Cryo Traveler, and the new Stellar Swirl reaction. We will replace and update the content whenever a new build or official announcement appears.

About the Reliability of Leaks

Genshin Impact leaks range from rock-solid to extremely shaky. Data pulled directly from the beta client obviously carries a different weight from rumors at the level of "a friend of an insider said so," so this article labels them as follows.

  • Reliability: Confirmed. Officially released or revealed through official announcements and drip marketing. Version 6.7 and 7.0 content sits here.
  • Reliability: Medium. Information supported by multiple leakers with proven track records, such as Chugou, DK2, and hxg. The character's existence is almost certain, but the exact version may shift.
  • Reliability: Low. Still in the first-report stage. Names or codenames have been seen, but the Element, weapon, and kit direction are not yet locked in.

"Reliability: Low" does not mean "fake." Think of it more as "the outline is still blurry."

Version 6.7-7.3 New Character Overview

First, let's start with "who is coming." Here is a summary of the new characters across Version 6.7 through Snezhnaya 7.3. Version 6.7 and 7.0 are confirmed, while 7.1 onward is leak-based. If you want an overview of the full 2026 banner flow, also check "Genshin Impact 2026 Banner Schedule."

Version 7.0 is confirmed to add Odette (5-star) and the free 4-star Alyosha, plus the Cryo Traveler. For 7.1 through 7.3, a widely shared roadmap from leakers FSC and hxg lists six more characters: Vesna, Vodyanitsa, Mitya, Valeriy, the Tsaritsa, and Danica. Only 7.0 is official, so everything from 7.1 onward can still shift. Below are the details known so far, and we will add more as new information appears.

📌 Important: The official preview program confirmed that Version 6.8 does not exist. The game moved directly from 6.7 to 7.0 (Snezhnaya). Snezhnaya launched on August 12, 2026, matching the redemption code "Snezhnaya20260812."

Version 6.7 ran from July 1 to August 11, 2026, and Sandrone, her Stellar-Conduct reaction, and the seven Radiance buffs are all live. Version 7.0 is now live as well.

New Character Details

Odette (Version 7.0 / Reliability: Confirmed)

Odette character image
Rarity★5
ElementCryo
WeaponSword
RoleOff-field Support / Sub-DPS
Release WindowVersion 7.0 Phase 1 (August 12, 2026)
AffiliationKorolevskiy Troupe (prima ballerina)

Odette is the marquee new character of Snezhnaya's opening version. She is a 5-star Cryo sword user and the prima ballerina of the Korolevskiy Troupe, built as an off-field support and reaction enabler for the new Stellar reactions.

Her core value is flexibility. She can enable both Stellar-Conduct (Cryo plus Electro) and the new Stellar Swirl (Cryo plus Anemo), converting a party's ordinary Superconduct and Cryo Swirl into their upgraded Stellar versions while boosting the team's Stellar reaction damage. Her Elemental Skill summons a dance double that keeps applying Cryo off-field, and casting again pairs the two for a finishing hit.

That makes her a natural fit for Sandrone, Wriothesley, and Cyno teams that need an off-field Cryo enabler. Her debut banner is "Swan's Shadow in Silken Ice," and her signature weapon is the sword Whitelake Frostfeather.

For a full kit breakdown, recommended team comps, and weapons, see here → "Odette Build Guide."

Sandrone (Version 6.7 / Reliability: Confirmed)

Sandrone character image
Rarity★5
ElementCryo
WeaponClaymore
RoleMain DPS
Release WindowVersion 6.7 Phase 1 (July 1, 2026)
AffiliationFatui Harbinger No. 7, "Marionette"

Fatui Harbinger No. 7, "Marionette." She is an on-field Cryo main DPS built entirely around the Stellar-Conduct reaction, and she launched in Version 6.7.

Her core gameplay loop revolves around the automaton "Fageo": a Charged Attack summons Fageo into computation mode, where it continuously fires Cryo beams in a Neuvillette-style sustained laser attack, building a computation gauge.

Once the gauge maxes out, she shifts into Overload Mode for burst damage, then uses her Elemental Skill to reset the cycle. Her Elemental Burst calls down prism resonance cannons for large AoE Cryo DMG.

In the story, leaks claim she makes a major sacrifice to protect the Traveler during the climax of the Nod-Krai arc. Treat the specific story beats as unverified until you have played the quest yourself.

For a full kit breakdown, recommended team comps, and weapons, see here → "Sandrone Details."

Alyosha (Version 7.0 / Reliability: Confirmed)

Alyosha is the new 4-star Electro polearm character introduced in Version 7.0, and he is free through the version event. Described as the "Swift-Striding Hound," he provides healing and a Stellar-Conduct damage buff from his Burst field, which makes him a convenient sustain and support option for early Stellar reaction teams. He also appears as the featured 4-star on both the Odette and Arlecchino banners.

Vesna (Version 7.1 / Reliability: Medium)

Vesna character image
Rarity★5
ElementAnemo
WeaponSword
RoleStellar Swirl Main DPS
Release WindowVersion 7.1 (leaked)
AffiliationUnconfirmed

Per the FSC and hxg roadmap, Vesna is an Anemo sword user positioned as a Stellar Swirl main DPS, a carry role no current character fills. If accurate, she would be the natural on-field partner for Odette's Stellar Swirl kit. Element and kit are still leak-based and can change before the 7.1 beta locks in.

Vodyanitsa (Version 7.1 / Reliability: Medium)

Vodyanitsa character image
Rarity★5
ElementHydro
WeaponUnconfirmed
RoleSupport for Cryo DPS
Release WindowVersion 7.1 (leaked)
AffiliationKorolevskiy Troupe

Her name comes from a water spirit in Slavic mythology, and the latest leaks now line up with that: she is reported as a Hydro character, not the Electro unit earlier reports pointed to. Her role is a support built for Cryo damage dealers, which lines her up neatly for Tsaritsa teams before the Tsaritsa even arrives.

Because she is Hydro, she is unlikely to slot in as a dedicated Stellar reaction enabler the way a Cryo or Electro unit would. Treat the element and role as leak-based until the 7.1 beta.

The Tsaritsa / Anastasya (Version 7.3 / Reliability: Medium)

The Tsaritsa character image
Rarity★5
ElementCryo
WeaponUnconfirmed
RoleUnconfirmed
Release WindowVersion 7.3 (leaked)
TitleThe Tsaritsa / Ruler of Snezhnaya

Her full name is reportedly "Anastasya Feodorovna Snezhnaya." Ever since the 2020 Teyvat Chapter Storyline Preview titled her chapter "Everwinter Without Mercy," players have waited six years for her.

The FSC and hxg roadmap places her debut in Version 7.3, alongside a paired Electro support named Danica. That timing lines up with the usual pattern of Archon characters becoming playable after their Archon Quest concludes, though HoYoverse has not officially confirmed any of it.

Version 7.2-7.3 Roadmap: Mitya, Valeriy, and Danica (Reliability: Low to Medium)

  • Mitya (7.2, Electro, 5-star). A catalyst user leaked as an off-field Stellar-Conduct sub-DPS. Worth watching even for players saving for the Tsaritsa.
  • Valeriy (7.2, Electro, 4-star). Leaked as a sword shielder and on-field Stellar-Conduct support.
  • Danica (7.3, Electro, 5-star). Leaked as the Tsaritsa's Stellar-Conduct support, releasing alongside her.

Not in the Current 7.1-7.3 Roadmap

  • Pantalone. Fatui Harbinger No. 9, "Regrator," who controls the finances of Northland Bank and the Fatui. Earlier leaks tagged him as a possible Dendro character, but he does not appear in the current 7.1 to 7.3 roadmap. Reliability is now low, with no confirmed window.
  • Dottore. Fatui Harbinger No. 2, "The Doctor." Leaks suggest he may eventually be playable with a kit different from his weekly boss version, but he is not in the current roadmap either. Reliability: low.

Other Character Information

  • Cryo Traveler. The Traveler's seventh Elemental form, added in Version 7.0. Available to all players for free, and able to convert Superconduct and Cryo Swirl into their Stellar versions.
  • Unrevealed characters. Beyond the leaked 7.1 to 7.3 roadmap, further leaks mention possible later additions such as Madame Ping and Noy, but these are very low reliability.

Characters Not Expected to Release in Snezhnaya

CharacterOverview
AliceThe founder of the Hexenzirkel and Klee's mother. Some information points to Pyro and Catalyst. She is not in the current Snezhnaya roadmap, and is more likely to appear after the Khaenri'ah arc.
SnegurochkaA Snezhnayan character whose name has only been confirmed among leakers. Early leaks mention Cryo and Sword, but details are unknown.

Version 6.7-7.0 Rerun and Banner Recap

New characters are not the only way to spend Primogems. Here is how the confirmed banners lined up across 6.7 and 7.0.

Version 6.7 Reruns (Confirmed)

Version 6.7 featured Citlali's rerun in Phase 1 (alongside Sandrone), and Columbina's first rerun and Raiden Shogun in Phase 2. With Sandrone in Phase 1 and Columbina in Phase 2, two Harbingers were available across one version, a rare timing.

CharacterElementWhy They Matter
Columbina character image

Columbina

Hydro

Her first rerun since debuting in Version 6.3. She is a core piece for Lunar Reaction teams and also plays an important story role as the proxy attendee at the summit called by the Tsaritsa.

She ran in Phase 2 alongside Raiden Shogun, while Sandrone debuted back in Phase 1, so targeting both Harbingers meant splitting pity across the two halves.

Raiden Shogun character image

Raiden Shogun

ElectroReran in Phase 2. Stellar-Conduct needs stable Electro application, and Raiden Shogun keeps applying Electro from off-field, making her an excellent match for Sandrone.
Citlali character image

Citlali

CryoReran in Phase 1 alongside Sandrone. A strong Cryo support for Stellar-Conduct teams, and since she shares Sandrone's Cryo Element, she also helps enable resonance bonuses.

Version 6.7 New Outfits

Version 6.7 added new outfits for Citlali and Charlotte. Citlali reran in Phase 1, so it was a convenient timing to pick her up together with the outfit.

Version 7.0 Reruns (Confirmed)

Version 7.0 runs a standard two-phase structure:

  • Phase 1 (August 12 to September 1, 2026): Odette debut plus Arlecchino rerun. Both banners feature the new 4-star Alyosha, along with Sucrose and Lynette.
  • Phase 2 (September 1 to September 22, 2026): Flins and Ineffa reruns, both strong Electro units that fit Lunar-Charged teams.

Later Version Rerun Predictions

For 7.1 onward, very little rerun information has surfaced. Based on rerun cycles and the meta, a few names are easy to imagine, such as Shenhe for Cryo DMG buffing and Nahida if a Dendro-focused kit appears later. None of these are leaker-sourced; they are predictions based on cycles and the meta. We will add updates as new leaks appear.

Version 6.7 Chronicled Wish

Version 6.7 featured a Chronicled Wish that included characters receiving Radiance buffs, such as Yae Miko, Cyno, Qiqi, and Wriothesley. Like previous Chronicled Wishes, it let players choose the character or weapon they wanted to target.

New Elemental Reaction System: Stellar Glimmer

Following Fontaine's Arkhe, Natlan's Nightsoul, and Nod-Krai's Lunar Reactions, Snezhnaya's regional mechanic is the Stellar Glimmer family. It centers on Cryo and adds new reactions one at a time.

Reaction NameElement CombinationIntroductionOverview
Stellar-ConductCryo + ElectroVersion 6.7An upgraded version of old Superconduct. It creates a Polestar Field that grants a 38% DMG buff to Cryo and Electro characters inside, lowers Physical RES, and records hits. This is Sandrone's core mechanic.
Stellar SwirlCryo + AnemoVersion 7.0A modified version of Cryo Swirl. It summons a Stellar Vortex that levels up through repeated triggers and detonates for AoE Cryo DMG. Enabled by Odette or the Cryo Traveler.
(Speculative)Cryo + DendroUnconfirmedA rumored Cryo and Dendro reaction. There is no official confirmation, and the characters previously tied to it are not in the current roadmap. Treat as speculation.

One mechanic sets the whole family apart from older reactions: Stellar reactions scale with ATK, not Elemental Mastery. That inverts years of reaction-building habit. Talent-driven Stellar Swirl damage can also crit, a break from classic transformative reactions. Keep both elements applied to enemies continuously so the field and vortex stacks keep climbing.

Version 6.7 Older Character Buffs (Radiance Buffs)

Alongside Sandrone and Stellar-Conduct, seven existing Cryo and Electro characters received Radiance buffs in Version 6.7. This was the second wave after the Mondstadt characters were buffed in Version 6.6. The details below reflect the 6.7 buff data.

CharacterMain Buff Details
Qiqi character image

Qiqi

Her Skill CD and duration are both standardized at 15 seconds (downtime removed). During the Skill, the entire team's Superconduct and Stellar-Conduct damage is increased by +50%. After her Burst, a stack mechanic adds 600% of her ATK to allies' Stellar-Conduct damage.
Diona character image

Diona

[New Talent] For 20 seconds after using her Skill, when allies trigger Superconduct, Stellar-Conduct, or Cryo Swirl, a coordinated attack occurs every 3.5 seconds. At C6, Superconduct and Stellar-Conduct damage inside her Burst field is increased by +40%.
Wriothesley character image

Wriothesley

Major multiplier increases for the 3rd and 5th hits of his Normal Attack. In the Radiance state, his Charged Attack is converted into Stellar-Conduct damage. Stellar-Conduct damage +30%.
Cyno character image

Cyno

Skill orbs trigger follow-up attacks in sync with the active character's attacks. Inside his Burst field, direct Stellar-Conduct damage is added.
Yae Miko character image

Yae Miko

When all three Sesshou Sakura are present and her Skill is used again, an additional Electro attack is triggered. During the Radiance state, this follow-up attack is converted into Stellar-Conduct reaction damage.

Skill duration is extended by 10 seconds. When Superconduct or Stellar-Conduct occurs nearby, the next Skill attack is enhanced. One of the biggest buffs among the 6.7 group.

Beidou character image

Beidou

[Talent Change] While holding her Skill, stacks automatically accumulate every 0.8 seconds even if she is not hit. Each stack reduces Skill CD by 4 seconds and restores 8 Energy to herself (triggerable once every 15 seconds). Her role as an Energy battery is greatly strengthened.
Mizuki character image

Yumemizuki Mizuki

Since she is Anemo, she sits outside the Stellar-Conduct target group. She received a Swirl-focused buff and is seen as foreshadowing for the Stellar Swirl reaction that arrived in 7.0.

Qiqi's downtime removal and +50% reaction buff make her a strong healer option for Sandrone, and Diona's C6 40% buff is also hard to ignore. It is worth checking the build status of your current Cryo and Electro characters again.

Notably, Yumemizuki Mizuki was the only Anemo character among the seven, and her Swirl-focused buff read as foreshadowing for the Stellar Swirl reaction that Odette brought online in 7.0.

On the artifact side, Version 7.0 added two sets tied directly to the new reactions, both farmed in the Inverted Glacier domain in Everfrozen Earth:

  • Heart of the Furnace: 2-piece ATK +18%; 4-piece boosts all nearby party members' Stellar Glimmer damage by 50%, and it triggers from off-field. This is the teamwide engine and Odette's best-in-slot set.
  • Scarlet Proof: 2-piece ATK +18%; 4-piece gives the wearer 16% crit rate and 40% Stellar Swirl damage for 10 seconds after triggering Stellar Swirl.

For Sandrone specifically, the earlier 6.6 set "Disenchantment in Deep Shadow" (released May 20, 2026) remains relevant, since its 4-piece effect specializes in Superconduct damage. Compare it against Heart of the Furnace based on your team before committing farming time.

Snezhnaya Region

The seventh and final nation of Teyvat. Here is a summary from the official preview program "Snezhnaya, and the Future," along with additional information from leakers.

Regional Worldview

The developers cited Snowpiercer and the Metro series as inspirations for the region's atmosphere. The setting is a frozen empire ruled by the Tsaritsa, with a heavy mood based on Eastern Europe and the Arctic. It is the Fatui's home base, and both Northland Bank and the Adventurers' Guild headquarters are located in Snezhnaya.

Version 6.7 Area: Frostmoon

Version 6.7 added a new Nod-Krai area called "Frostmoon." A TCG card titled "The Other Side of the Frostmoon" was added early in 6.6, so the area name had been foreshadowed. A Natlan map expansion arrived at the same time, making Version 6.7 the final chapter of Nod-Krai while also expanding exploration content.

Railway Exploration System

Snezhnaya introduces a travel system based on a railway network. Exploring vast snowfields by train is an exploration experience Genshin Impact has never had before. Rather than a simple transportation option like horses or boats, the railway network itself is built into the map structure.

New Traveler Outfit

Version 7.0 added a new outfit for the Traveler (Aether/Lumine), which was shown in the official preview program.

Story Development

Since this section touches on spoilers, we will keep specific story details to a minimum. If you do not want to know, please skip this section.

Version 6.7 concluded Nod-Krai with a summit where the Tsaritsa summoned the gods of each nation, with Columbina attending as a proxy. This summit set up the bridge leading directly into Snezhnaya in Version 7.0.

Version 7.0-7.3: Snezhnaya Archon Quest

The Snezhnaya Archon Quest is expected to reveal the truth behind the Gnosis collection plan and the Tsaritsa's goal. In the official preview program, the developers said they would bring the story to its conclusion naturally, without forcibly stretching it out or rushing it. It has also been announced that the Khaenri'ah and Celestia chapters will follow after Snezhnaya.

Primogem Planning: Pull in 7.0 or Save for Later?

With 7.0 now live, the key decision is whether to pull Odette now or start saving for the 7.1 and 7.3 characters.

  • Odette is the current Stellar reaction enabler. If you own Sandrone, Wriothesley, or Cyno and lack an off-field Cryo enabler, Odette fills that slot directly. Her Phase 1 banner runs from August 12 to September 1, 2026.
  • 7.1 is a premium cycle if the leaks hold. Two 5-stars (Vesna and Vodyanitsa) are leaked for 7.1, so plan Primogems if either interests you.
  • The Tsaritsa is still further away. Leaks place her in Version 7.3, so even if you pull now and start saving again, you should have time to reach pity.
  • Keep pity carryover in mind. If you move into the next version after losing the 50/50, your next limited character is guaranteed. Checking your current pity count makes planning much more accurate.

Summary

Superconduct has been reborn through Sandrone and Odette, Snezhnaya has opened the final chapter of Teyvat, and the Tsaritsa waits beyond that. It has been six years since the Traveler first set foot on the hills of Mondstadt in Version 1.0. It has been a long journey.

But it is not over yet. Snezhnaya's main quest, the Stellar Glimmer reactions, snowfields explored by railway, and the leaked lineup running up to the Cryo Archon. Genshin Impact in the second half of 2026 should still have plenty of surprises prepared.

FAQ

What Happened to Version 6.8?

It was skipped. The official preview program announced that the game would move directly from 6.7 to 7.0. The number portion of the redemption code "Snezhnaya20260812" is the Snezhnaya release date itself.

When Was Snezhnaya Released?

Version 7.0 went live on August 12, 2026, the day after Version 6.7 ended.

Who Is the New 7.0 Character?

Odette, a 5-star Cryo sword user and the prima ballerina of the Korolevskiy Troupe. She is an off-field support and reaction enabler for the new Stellar reactions. The new 4-star is Alyosha, a free Electro polearm character.

What Is Stellar-Conduct?

It is an upgraded version of Superconduct (Cryo + Electro). The old version only reduced Physical RES, but Stellar-Conduct creates a Polestar Field and grants a 38% DMG buff to Cryo and Electro characters inside it. Sandrone's entire kit is designed around this reaction. Note that Stellar reactions scale with ATK rather than Elemental Mastery.

Isn't Vodyanitsa Supposed to be Hydro?

Yes. Her name comes from a water spirit in Slavic mythology, and the latest leaks now peg her as a Hydro support built for Cryo damage dealers, dropping the earlier Electro theory. She is also not the 7.0 new character. That is Odette, and Vodyanitsa is leaked for Version 7.1.

When Is The Tsaritsa Coming?

Leaks place her in Version 7.3. Past Archon characters have all become playable after their Archon Quests concluded, so that timing fits, though HoYoverse has not officially confirmed it.

Will Alice be Released in Snezhnaya?

Based on current leaks, she is not in the Snezhnaya roadmap. She is considered more likely to appear after the Khaenri'ah arc.

Is Qiqi's Buff Really Strong?

Based on the 6.7 numbers, it looks very strong. Her Skill downtime disappears, and while it is active, the entire team's Superconduct and Stellar-Conduct damage is increased by 50%. She is a strong healer option for Sandrone, so building her seems unlikely to be a waste.

About Updates to This Article

Version 6.7 and 7.0 are now official, so those sections reflect released content. The 7.1 preview program should reveal official information on Vesna and Vodyanitsa, and we will replace this article's content at each major checkpoint. Bookmark it if you want to keep track.
