Jingran's Design and Appearance

Jingran is a Mengzhou-born Nethermancer who wanders through mirages, shadows, and the remnants of a lost age. His eyes perceive the reverberations left behind by all things—frequencies and scars that ordinary senses cannot detect.

“Straight to the underworld... Couldn't have asked for better.”

— Jingran

He answers to no sect's law and bows to no god's order. Wherever his travels take him, his own heart is the only law he consults, and every road he follows is one he has carved himself.

Jingran's right eye can seize scattered, fluctuating frequencies that escape conventional perception. His left eye is linked to a high-order Remnant Creature—described in material as the Eye of the Covenant. Together, they allow him to anchor frequencies, share perception, relay commands, and expose what would otherwise remain hidden.

Jingran character profile

Jingran's Leaked Kit

Jingran is a Fusion Broadblade Main DPS whose combat revolves around Max HP, self-shields, Heavy Attacks, and aerial movement. These mechanics appear to form one continuous rotation.

Mechanic

Purpose

How It Works

Combat Role

On-field Main DPS

Jingran remains on the field to deal Fusion damage. His damage scales primarily with Max HP rather than ATK.

HP and Self-Shields

Survival and resource loop

Jingran consumes part of his HP during combat, generates shields for himself, and restores HP as his rotation continues. This allows him to use HP as both a damage stat and a combat resource.

Heavy Attacks

Main damage source

Heavy Attacks make up a major share of Jingran's damage. An enhanced Heavy Attack may also serve as the bridge between his Yin and Yang combat states.

Aerial Combat

Extended field time

Jingran can continue attacking while airborne, allowing him to maintain his offensive sequence instead of relying on a single plunge attack.

Resonance Liberation

Ultimate and domain

Jingran extinguishes the Life Lantern, opens the gates of the underworld, and pulls enemies into an isolated combat domain. This domain may strengthen or accelerate his Yin-Yang rotation.

Beyond the mechanics above, Jingran is also expected to use Yin-Yang Forms. Current information points to two combat modes with separate Basic Attack and Resonance Skill branches, while Yang Form appears to unlock an additional enhanced skill.

My read is that Yin Form will handle setup by building resources and consuming HP, before an enhanced Heavy Attack shifts Jingran into Yang Form for his main damage window. Yang Form may then convert those resources into stronger attacks while restoring HP or refreshing his shields—essentially a smooth build in Yin, deal damage in Yang, then repeat rotation.

Jingran's Leaked Signature Weapon

Ming Ying is expected to be Jingran’s signature weapon. Its HP and CRIT DMG stats complement his HP-scaling damage, while its passive enhances Heavy Attacks, provides extra Fusion DMG, and restores HP whenever he gains a shield.

Weapon DetailLeaked Value at R1
Base HP630
CRIT DMG30.5%
All-Type DMG+12%
Heavy Attack EffectAfter dealing Heavy Attack DMG, gain 7.2% Fusion DMG Bonus for 6s, up to 3 stacks.
Shield EffectWhen gaining a shield, restore 8% Max HP. Another translation mentions additional stacks, so the exact wording is disputed.

Jingran's Best Teams (Early Theorycraft)

Based on the current kit information, Jingran is an on-field Fusion Main DPS who scales with HP and deals most of his damage through Heavy Attacks, supported by aerial combat and self-generated shields.

The teams below follow three main approaches: maximizing Jingran’s Heavy Attack damage, building a Fusion-focused quick-swap team, or creating a low-cost setup with accessible off-field damage and healing.

Qingxiao vs Jingran: Who Should You Save For?

Version 3.5 already gives you two tempting banners: Yangyang: Xuanling in Phase 1 and SuiSui in Phase 2. In the upcoming Version 3.6, Qingxiao is expected to arrive in Phase 1, followed by Jingran in Phase 2.

Based on his current kit information, Jingran is an HP-scaling Fusion Main DPS who relies on Heavy Attacks, Yin-Yang Forms, and repeated shields.

Accounts that already have Iuno or Mortefi for Heavy Attack amplification, or a universal support such as Shorekeeper, should be well prepared to build around him. Jingran is especially worth considering for players who need a durable on-field Fusion carry outside conventional ATK-focused teams.

Astrite Planning Guide

Jingran is expected to debut in Phase 2 of Version 3.6.  Wuthering Waves character banners reach 5-star pity at 80 pulls. Since the first 5-star is not guaranteed to be Jingran, you may need up to 160 pulls—or 25,600 Astrite—to secure him in the worst-case scenario.

His featured weapon is guaranteed within 80 weapon pulls, requiring up to another 12,800 Astrite.

The table below shows the maximum budget required when starting from zero pity. Existing pity, a guaranteed character, Radiant Tides, or Forging Tides will reduce these totals.

Jingran + Signature Weapon240 pulls38,400 Astrite
25,600 for Jingran + 12,800 for his weapon

Add another 12,800 Astrite if you also want Jingran’s weapon, bringing the full total to 64,000 Astrite.

Pre-farming Guide

Jingran is officially confirmed as a Fusion Broadblade Resonator. His specific Ascension and Forte materials have not been revealed yet, but you can safely prepare these universal resources:

  • Resonance Potions for character EXP
  • Energy Cores for weapon EXP
  • Waveworn Residue 210, 226, 235, and 239 for his Forte and Broadblade upgrades
  • Sealed Tubes and Tuners for Echo upgrades
  • Unopened weekly and event-selectable material boxes

Waveworn Residue is the best material to farm now because Broadblade Resonators need it for Forte upgrades, while Broadblade weapons also use it.

You can also claim extra Astrite and supplies through the latest  Wuthering Waves redeem codes.

Final Thoughts

Jingran is one of the most exciting characters in Version 3.6. As a confirmed Fusion Broadblade Resonator with an HP-focused combat style. He is well worth considering if you want a distinctive new Main DPS.

His detailed kit, materials, signature weapon, and banner schedule have yet to be fully revealed. GamsGo will continue following the latest news and updating this guide.
